Sleeping Dragon Innards Paper and tape model of the inner support structure for a clay dragon sculpture. No wings yet. Head will be enlarged. Scissors give idea of scale. Right now it looks like the stuffing for a soft sculpture. I think I'll seal it with water resistant acrylic spray before I start putting the outer layer of clay on it. The tail will be longer. Scales and other details will be added later. It's already too big for my kiln. I'll have to divide it up into sections that can be reassembled. I'll make a mold of it. I'll use the mold to make the final sculpture in clay or cement. Both do OK in a latex mold. This will be made available as a garden sculpture. My first one goes to my friend Lis who owns Sleeping Dragon Farm. Nice match for each other, aren't they?

Glad you were there to help when I caught a stab from the pliers, Peter!
