Watkins Glen 1992 Copyright Joyce Jackson I've added a new page to show my submmittals for being among 49 other artists who will paint fresco paintings for a Community Fresco Project in Honor of Troy’s Historic Little Italy. All 6 of my submissions are found here They are not representative of the kind of work that will be done for the show. They are only examples of work I've created in the past. I've selected this group from among my work to demonstrate that I can work in a variety of media, can paint the human form, and most any other type of subject. I can't think offhand of anything that I can't paint. I don't mean to sound boastful, but once you advance beyond a certain stage in your artistic development, nothing is impossible to depict fairly accurately and well. Copying from a photo is not very hard to do. At least that's been my experience at this stage of my artistic life. It's only a matter of doing studies when you get stuck on any aspects of the subject at hand. I usually take photos or refer to pre-existing ones. Next, I might do sketches of the subjects in various positions. After that, I might opt to make copies of the drawing I like the best to try out a different color scheme for each copy.
