Formerly on exhibit now through May 11, now extended to May 17, 2 of my works in a group show by myself and other Schenectady Art Society members, taking place at SCCC. That stands for... Be sure to stop by and check it out. Anyone remember the Kurt Vonnegut novel where he mentions the Schenectady post office? We're not content to only be known by our post office! ;-) Our artwork is here for you to enjoy and to purchase. Most or all of the work is for sale. Price, artist name, and dimensions are included in labels attached to each piece of artwork. On display you'll find a wide variety of media, subjects, and styles. The walls of this large, historic room are filled with the vibrant paintings and collages. Please call the college first to find out about scheduling for the room so that you can be sure to have access. One event I know of is being held there Feb. 24. Not sure, but you might be able to see the exhibit that day as long as it's not at the time the event is being held. Anyway, double checking with College security is advised. Special thanks go out to Carolyn Taylor, Debra Carpenter, and the other artists from this group whose time and careful attention has been dedicated to planning, developing, scheduling, setting this event up, organizing members' works, accepting deliveries, tagging and keeping track of entries, publicity, coordinating with SCCC staff, contacting members, the list goes on and on. There's a lot involved in putting on an exhibit. Their hard work is not to be underestimated and is greatly appreciated by all of us participants. Projection Here's one of my entries. Greeting cards illustrated with prints of this and more of my paintings coming soon.
