Pics of my art as it went up and was labelled at the coffee shop where I'm doing a solo exhibit April 3 to 30, 2018. This is located at Uncommon Grounds, 1235 Western Ave. #5, Albany, NY, just west of SUNY-Albany. Driving West from SUNY, take a left a few hundred yards beyond the sign for the entrance to SUNY into the strip mall where Uncommon Grounds is located. You can park there free. The Italian Museum show has now ended but you can still see my painting in this new exhibit at the coffee shop through to the end of April. Look for it within this slide show. It's the only realism painting in the show. It's entitled Sicilian Island Retreat. I'm featuring my abstract poured acrylic paintings in this show. I also have one realism painting in it. It won me a 3rd Place Prize in March. Prizes were Awarded by Juror and professional artist Steve Kowalski. The event took place at American Italian Heritage Museum, 1227 Central Ave., Albany, NY. It was conducted by the artist group of which I'm a member, Schenectady Art Society.

CANCELLATION ALERT Tonight's Art Night in Schenectady, NY described here, has been cancelled. Sorry for the late notice. Schenectady Art Society officers were only notified of the cancellation a short time ago. The Vice President called to let me know soon after she found out. Sincere apologies to all whose plans for this evening have been affected. Join me and these other great artists - Virginia Hoeppner, Helga Prichard, Nancy Bedard, and Marjorie Ward - for a small group showing as we represent the artistic diversity among the many members of... at... 432 State St., Schenectady, New York February 17, 5 PM to 9 PM. We will each have a display table featuring our artwork. Items featuring our artwork will be available for sale. These include, but are not limited to, greeting and ACEO cards for collectors, art prints in various sizes, and original artwork. This is a very talented group of people whose work will dazzle you. There are many other family-and-friends friendly events taking place the same night. Among them are shows at Proctors. Have a snack, dessert or a full meal with your favorite beverages at Apostrophe Café, formerly The Muddy Cup, which is across the hall in Robb Alley from where we will have our art exhibit. Robb Alley is a wing of the indoor arcade alongside the entrance to Proctors Theatre. Ample parking is available in the parking lot in back of Proctors Theatre. Overflow parking is available in the parking garage on Broadway, a short walking distance from Proctors Theatre. There is a wonderful pedestrian walkway which connects you safely and comfortably from the garage to the Proctors complex. Many other downtown Schenectady businesses and entertainment locales will be open the same night. ...a great place to stay overnight and beyond, is next door. Schenectady is
beautiful and alive with the renovations and improvements to the downtown ambience that a visionary business development group called Metroplex has carried out over a period of several years. Come on over and see us while you're enjoying your evening in Downtown Schenectady. |
